Add Some Sunshine--and Some Spice-- to Your Table

Last week on the ESN scavenger hunt we were looking for things about dining.  I am slower than slow, and just now looking through my fellow scavenger hunter's stores for dining related items. I decided to also find some things that might also relate to this week's subject of smiles.

The first item I found was at Bargain Express.  I always like bright yellow objects. Especially on  a dreary or cloudy day, something yellow makes me smile and seems like a little spot of sunshine.

Yellow

It has been longer than I like since I've been here to write and share with you.  Unbelievably, it is October and fall again.  It has been one long, hot, dry summer all over Texas.  The  wild fires have been a very real threat through out the state.

I have been enjoying the cooler fall days.  I finally saw some October Daisies this  past weekend.  I was beginning to think they weren't coming out this year because of the drought.

October Daisies are not as prolific as last year  but still offer a bright spot of color for the fall.

Fall is my favorite time of year and yellow is one of my favorite colors. The current scavenger hunt on ESN is for Yellow.

This is a real treat for me.  The fall colors are always so beautiful. The orange pumpkins, multi-colored changing leaves, yellow and purple chrysanthemums, yellow daisies....

Oh, the beautiful sunshine! We've had 4 glorious days of sunshine all in a row.  This has been such a dreary cold winter that the sun seems such a blessing.  Even when the temps are still cool, it feels so much better when the sun shines. And each day is warmer than the one before. We have actually had no heat running today and the doors open for a while .
 At church Sunday, Hubby even lead the hymn, "There is Sunshine in My Soul Today!"  How appropriate!?!

More glorious and bright
Than glows in any earthly sky,
For Jesus is my light,
o there's sunshine blessed sunshine
While the peaceful, happy moments roll;

I also like "Heavenly Sunlight".

It it any wonder that the song writers compare our Joy in Jesus as Saviour to Sunshine or our journey as a Christian to "walking in Sunlight"?
Whether it is physical Sunlight or spiritual Sonlight, what joy to have it!!!

Hubby knows I like yellow roses best and got me a bouquet of them for Valentine's Day.
They are brightening my office and adding a little spot of sunshine to my indoor space.

Our Scavenger Hunt at Ecater Store Network this week is also Sunshine. Bright  yellow things always seem like a spot of sunlight even on a dreary day, so I decided to look for sunshine yellow objects.
